The Rook from EE is a carrier-branded ZTE Blade A410 from the UK carrier EE. The device is powered by Mediatek’s MT6735M chipset and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This brief guide will explain how to flash TWRP recovery to this phone and root it.
How do I root the ZTE Blade A410 (Rook from EE)?
  • Install VCOM drivers on your PC
  • Download SuperSU.zip
  • Copy SuperSU.zip to both the phone’s SD card and internal storage

How to fix NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0X10 on an Infinix Hot 2 X510

For those faced with the Wi-Fi NVRAM err 0x10, it really is nothing to worry about. Everything will work fine except this error message under Settings > Wi-Fi. We already dropped a guide on this Site but this fix doesn’t seem to work for Infinix Hot 2 X510 users running on Android 6 (Marshmallow) so we’re dropping this guide for you guys.

How do I remove the NVRAM Warning Err 0x10 on my Infinix Hot 2 X510?

  • Setup VCOM drivers on your PC
  • Download TWRP recovery, modified  Lk.bin and Preloader.bin  and flash them to the phone using SP flash tool
  • Download the TWRP backup of boot, secro and nvram for Infinix Hot 2 X510
  • Unzip the TWRP backup and copy the TWRP folder directly to the Internal storage (do not copy into any folder)
  • Boot the phone into recovery mode
  • If prompted to allow TWRP modify the /system partition then Swipe
  • If TWRP offers to root for you, select No
  • In TWRP, tap Restore
  • Select 2016-02-09–22-55-39_X510-D5110-M-Androidone-20160107

How to downgrade the Mediatek Android phone

Its usually thrilling to learn that a major update / upgrade has been released for your Mediatek (MTK) Android phone. The excitement however begins to wane when you discover serious bugs (lagging and overheating being one of the most unbearable) and just wish you were back to the times when your phone was – at least – stable. The good news is that you can easily downgrade your MTK Android phone to a more stable Android OS.
Why would I want to downgrade?
Its actually a good idea to downgrade when you just can’t cope with the bugs in an update. If other builds of the update still aren’t any better then you might want to downgrade and wait out the ‘Guinea Pig’ phase of the Over The Air (OTA) update.
How do I downgrade a MTK Android phone?
Sponsored Linksirst, you need to know what version of Android the phone was running on before the update / upgrade; this is the firmware you’ll need to download then flash to the phone. To downgrade:
  • Download the firmware for the version of Android you wish to revert / downgrade to. The firmware should be for your exact phone model so you do not brick your Android phone by flashing the wrong firmware.  Visit the link to download some MTK Android firmware
  • Install VCOM drivers on the PC following the guide at clik here
  • Turn off the phone (still with battery inside) and don’t yet connect it to the PC via a USB cord
  • Flash the firmware you downloaded above to the phone using the SP flash tool guide at Click here
  • Do Not interrupt SP flash tool till flashing is complete (Green OK prompt). If you accidentally do then see  here
  • If the battery is removable then take it out and reinsert after flashing. Ignore this if the battery is inbuilt
  • Boot the phone into recovery mode after flashing the firmware and do a factory reset (see here)
  • Boot up the phone then follow the Setup Wizard
Note: If you encounter any problems then post your questions as a comment here and we would gladly assist you.
